Shri Mritunjay Kumar Narayan IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1995) has been empanelled as Secretary at the Centre.
Shri Mritunjay Kumar Narayan, IAS represents a distinctive blend of technical excellence, policy scholarship and legal grounding within the Indian Bureaucracy. Academically accomplished, he holds a B.Tech. (First Class) in Electrical Engineering, followed by an M.Tech. (First Class) from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He further earned an M.Sc. in Public Policy & Management (First Class) from King’s College London and an LL.B. (First Class) from University of Lucknow. He is presently serving as Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India (October 2022 – August 2026) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
