Mridul Kumar Das ACS posted as Additional Secretary – Home & Political and WCD Departments
Shri Mridul Kumar Das ACS (1999), presently District Commissioner, Bajali, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home & Political and Women & Child Development Departments. He will also hold the additional charges of State Coordinator, NRC, Assam, in-charge Directorate of NRC, Assam and CEO, e-FT Project.
The Home & Political Department plays a central role in maintaining law and order, internal security, and coordination with law enforcement agencies. The Women & Child Development Department focuses on welfare initiatives aimed at empowering women and ensuring protection and development of children.
The additional responsibilities related to the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the e-FT Project involve overseeing administrative coordination and implementation of processes related to citizenship verification and tribunal management systems.
