Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Shripad Naik has informed that The total budgetary increase made in the current Academic Year (AY 2019-20) from the last Academic Year (AY 2018-19) under the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) is Rs.4.125 crore for the children of Defence Personnel from the National Defence Fund on account of increase in the rate of scholarship from Rs. 2000/- pm to Rs. 2500/- pm for boys and Rs. 2250/- pm to Rs. 3000/- pm for girls w.e.f. AY 2019-20.
