#IAFforSwachhta Campaign 2023 | The Indian Air Force (IAF) has launched a Special Campaign for Swachhta, with the participation of all air warriors and civilians in the ‘Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta’ drive. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, along with senior officers of Air Headquarters, New Delhi, initiated the campaign by cleaning the area along Motilal Nehru Marg and NDMC parking area. Similar drives are being carried out at 750 sites around Air Force Stations across the country. The dedicated participants, or Shramveers, will be honored following the Swachata Pledge on October 2, 2023.
The campaign draws inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi’s timeless words, “Cleanliness is the foundation upon which all other virtues are built.” As a result, the focus is on enhancing overall cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring proper waste disposal, and promoting the use of recycled products. Air warriors will diligently work towards clearing out old files and documents to optimize office space, alongside reviewing and updating outdated rules and policies. The IAF has already taken steps in this direction, incorporating e-office and other digital initiatives like IMMOLS and e-MMS. The best practices identified during this campaign will be documented and shared with all IAF units to ensure an ongoing process of improvement.
