The Ministry of Heavy Industries is actively conducting Special Campaign 3.0 on Swachhta, which encompasses the Ministry itself, its Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), and Autonomous Bodies (ABs) located across India. This campaign commenced with a preparatory phase starting on September 15, 2023, to identify the cleaning objectives. The primary campaign phase began on October 2, 2023, and will continue until October 31, 2023. The campaign’s primary focus is on effective space management and improving workplace environments within offices.

Throughout the preparatory phase, the Ministry, in collaboration with CPSEs and ABs, identified over 250 cleanliness sites nationwide. Secretary of Heavy Industries personally inspected these sites and urged senior officers to dedicate their best efforts to achieving the campaign’s objectives. Under the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, the Secretary administered a Swachhata pledge to all Ministry officials, emphasizing the importance of a clean and garbage-free India.

A dedicated team closely monitors daily progress, which is documented on the SCPDM portal hosted by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. Central Public Sector Enterprises and Autonomous Bodies enthusiastically participate in this cleanliness festival, resulting in significant achievements. Notably, an estimated 5.6 Lakh Sq.ft. of space is expected to be reclaimed through the disposal of scrap and redundant materials. Additionally, 65,944 physical files are slated for review, with 33,789 earmarked for elimination during the campaign. Furthermore, 5017 electronic files are targeted for closure. The Ministry and its associated organizations have actively promoted the campaign through over 170 tweets on social media platforms.

The Special Campaign 3.0 is currently in full swing as it endeavours to meet the Ministry’s set targets during the campaign period.
