The Ministry of Civil Aviation celebrated Constitution Day 2024 with enthusiasm and pride at the Aviation Park in Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan. The event, attended by Civil Aviation Minister Shri Ram Mohan Naidu, Minister of State Shri Murlidhar Mohol, senior officials, and ministerial staff, honored the framers of the Indian Constitution and its enduring principles of justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity.

In his address, Shri Ram Mohan Naidu paid tribute to the Constitution’s architects and emphasized the campaign “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhimaan”. Reflecting on his journey from a rural constituency like Srikakulam to becoming Civil Aviation Minister, he highlighted the Constitution’s power to enable democracy and inclusivity, empowering citizens irrespective of their backgrounds to contribute to nation-building. Acknowledging the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he praised the 75th-anniversary celebrations of the Constitution’s adoption, aligning them with the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He also committed to increasing women’s participation in aviation to 25%, spanning roles such as pilots, engineers, and air traffic controllers.

Shri Naidu further highlighted the Ministry’s alignment with constitutional ideals through transformative initiatives like UDAN, which connects underserved regions and makes air travel accessible and affordable. He emphasized how the aviation sector fosters liberty, equality, and fraternity by enabling seamless connectivity, strengthening national integration, and promoting cultural and economic unity under the ethos of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.’

Shri Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, underscored the historical significance of the day, paying homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the Constitution as a progressive framework guiding national development, empowerment, and prosperity. He urged citizens to actively engage in the year-long celebrations led by Prime Minister Modi, reaffirming their dedication to constitutional values.

The event concluded with Shri Murlidhar Mohol leading the mass reading of the Preamble and Shri Ram Mohan Naidu unfurling the National Flag, symbolizing the Ministry’s commitment to inclusivity, equality, and opportunities for all in the aviation sector.
