Shri V L Kantha Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Mines, visited the Corporate Office of Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) in Kolkata to review the activities of the Company. Shri Rao was warmly welcomed by Shri Ghanshyam Sharma, CMD, HCL, along with S/Shri Sanjay Panjiyar, D(Op), Sanjiv Kumar Singh, D(M), Upendra Kumar Pandey, CVO, and other senior officials, on his maiden visit to Tamra Bhavan, HCL Corporate Office.
In a detailed presentation, the Secretary was apprised of the overall activities of the Company along with its ongoing projects. During the meeting, Shri V L Kantha Rao, interacted at length with the senior executives of HCL. Lauding the unique position of the Company as the only copper miner in India, Shri Rao urged all to focus on enhancing the production of copper ore and Metal-in-Concentrate.
He further stated that the Ministry of Mines will extend all possible support, cooperation and help in the administrative and policy matters. Shri Rao encouraged the HCL personnel to put their best foot forward in order to build a glorious future for the Company.
