The Ministry of Mines has observed the Mission Lifestyle for Awareness (LiFE) with a number of events during a month long campaign. The Ministry roped in the Attached/Subordinate offices, Public Sector Undertakings and Autonomous Bodies under its control for the said campaign through a video conference.
Secretary (Mines) administered a pledge with senior officials of the Ministry under ‘Mission LiFE’ on World Environment Day i.e. 05.06.2023 in Khanij Kaksh, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi.
A Seminar was arranged in Shastri Bhawan on 23.05.2023 to sensitize the new recruits in the Ministry. T-Shirts were distributed to them and teams visited the Departmental Canteen to sensitize the users on minimizing food wastage and better management/disposal of e-waste. Catchy slogans and messages adorned the corridors of the Ministry for spreading awareness on Mission LiFE. Besides, Online Quiz was also organized on the topic and the winners awarded.
Ministry of Mines celebrates #MissionLiFE to focus on continuously innovating and adopting a #sustainable lifestyle. Appealing messages were spread across the Ministry’s offices.
All field formations of the Ministry organized activities and events like tree plantation drive, awareness seminars and awareness rallies. The activities of the Ministry and its field offices were regularly uploaded on the designated portal merilife.org.

Secretary (Mines) Shri Vivek Bharadwaj administered the LiFE pledge and encouraged everyone to abide by the same in daily life. Employees in the field formations under the Ministry also took part in the LiFE pledge at their respective stations.
