Shri Menino D’Souza took charge as the Director at the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, replacing Sanjeev C. Gauns Dessai. D’Souza who is also the Goa Excise Commissioner will hold additional charge of the post as Director of Tourism following the appointment of Sanjeev Gauns as Director of Vigilance. On taking charge today, D’Souza said, “It will be my endeavour to ensure that all policies and decisions pertaining to Goa tourism are executed in the right perspective and all functioning of tourism and trade activities streamlined and regulated. I am looking forward to my new assignment and will be committed in making Goa a top tourism destination.” D’Souza is an officer of the Goa Civil Service Cadre and has been the Goa Excise commissioner since 2012.
