Indian Bureaucracy News, Hyderabad, June 30, 2026 | June 29 proved to be an exceptionally busy day for the Telangana bureaucracy, with the State Government effecting a massive administrative overhaul across the police and forest departments. In a sweeping rejig, the Government transferred 12 IPS officers23 Superintendents of Police (SPs), and 36 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs). Additionally, 15 Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers were also transferred, 6 of whom were recently promoted to the IFS cadre of the State. The transfer orders for SPs and DySPs are provided as image attachments along with this notification. 

The reshuffle saw Shri Ambar Kishor Jha IPS given additional charge of DIG Zone-I (Kaleshwaram), Shri D Joel Davis IPS handed additional charge of DIG Zone-V (Yadadri), and Shri R Bhaskaran IPS entrusted with additional charge of DIG Zone-II (Basara). In a key move, Shri Sunpreet Singh IPS was transferred from CP Warangal to Jt CP Traffic Cyberabad with additional charge of DIG Zone-III (Rajanna), while Smt N Swetha IPS replaced him as the new CP Warangal with additional charge of DIG Zone-IV (Badadri). 

List of the officers with their present and new postings is detailed below.

  1. Shri Ambar Kishor Jha IPS (Telangana 2009), presently Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam, is given additional charge of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) – Zone-I, Kaleshwaram, Telangana. Zone-I, comprises of districts of Bhupalapalli-Jayashankar, Asifabad-Komarambheem, Ramagundam Police Commissionarate and Mulugu. 
  2. Shri D Joel Davis IPS (Telangana 2010), presently Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad City, is given additional charge of DIG – Zone-V, Yadadri, Telangana. Zone-V, comprises of districts of Suryapet, Nalgonda, Bhongir-Yadadri and Jangaon
  3. Shri Sunpreet Singh IPS (Telangana 2011), presently Commissioner of Police, Warangal, is transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police – Traffic, Cyberabad, Telangana, with additional charge of DIG – Zone-III, Rajannana Telangana. Zone-III comprises of districts of Karimnagar Police Commissionarate, Siddipet Police Commissionarate, Sircilla – Rajanna, Kamareddy and Kamareddy.
  4. Smt N Swetha IPS (Telangana 2012), presently Joint Commissioner of Police, Law and Order (L&O), North Range, Hyderabad City, is transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Warangal – Telangana, with additional charge of DIG – Zone-IV, Badadri, relieving Shri Sunpreet Singh IPS (Telangana 2011). Zone-IV comprises of districts of Kothagudem – Bhadradri, Khammam Police Commissionarate, Mahabubabad and Warangal Police
    Commissionarate.
  5. Shri R Bhaskaran IPS (Telangana 2012), presently DIG, CI Cell, Intelligence, Hyderabad, is given additional charge of DIG – Zone-II, Basara, Telangana. Zone-II comprises of districts of Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad Police Commissionarate and Jagitial.
  6. Shri S M Vijay Kumar IPS (Telangana 2012), presently Joint Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Hyderabad City, is given additional charge of Joint Commissioner of Police – Law and Order (L&O), North Range, Hyderabad City, Telangana.
  7. Ms Ch Sindu Sarma IPS (Telangana 2014), presently Joint Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Telangana, Hyderabad, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (SP) – CI Cell, Intelligence, Hyderabad, Telangana, with additional charge of SP – SIB, Telangana, relieving Shri Y Sai Sekhar IPS (Telangana 2018).
  8. Shri Y Sai Sekhar IPS (Telangana 2018), Superintendent of Police (SP), SIB, Telangana, is transferred and posted as SP – Railway Police, Secunderabad, Telangana.
  9. Shri Chennuri Rupesh IPS (Telangana 2017), presently Deputy Commissioner of Police, SM&IT, Hyderabad City, is transferred and posted as SP – CID, Telangana.
  10. Shri Ch Praveen Kumar IPS (SPS: 2017), presently Joint Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Telangana, Hyderabad, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, CID, Telangana.
  11. Shri R Venkateshwarlu IPS (Superintendent of Police 2018), presently waiting for posting, is posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police – CAR Headquarters, Hyderabad City, Telangana. This cancels the earlier orders posting him as Superintendent of Police, CID.
  12. Shri Rajesh Meena IPS (Telangana 2022), presently Additional SP, Administration, Wanaparthy, is transferred and posted as Additional SP – Administration, Vikarabad, Telangana, relieving Shri B Ramulu Naik.
  13. Shri B Ramulu Naik SPS (Telangana), presently Additional SP, Administration, Vikarabad, is transfer to the Office of the Director General of Police, Telangana, Hyderabad.

  1. Shri V S N V Prasad IFS (Telangana 2009), presently waiting posting, is appointed as Conservator of Forests – Planning and Vigilance (P&V), Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Telangana, Hyderabad.
  2. Shri G Kista Goud IFS (SFS: 2016), presently District Forest Officer, Bhadradri Kothagudem, is transferred and posted as District Forest Officer – Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Telangana, relieving Shri M Naveen Reddy IFS.
  3. Shri Shiv Aasheesh Singh IFS (Telangana 2018), presently District Forest Officer, Mahabubnagar, is transferred and posted as District Forest Officer – Rangareddy, Telangana.
  4. Shri Sidharth Vikram Singh IFS (Telangana 2018), presently District Forest Officer, Nizamabad, is transferred and posted as District Forest Officer – Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana, in place of Shri G Kista Goud IFS.
  5. Shri Mandadi Naveen Reddy IFS (Telangana 2019), presently District Forest Officer, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, is transferred and posted as District Forest Officer –  Mahabubnagar, Telangana, in place of Shri Shiv Aasheesh Singh IFS.
  6. Shri Prashanth Baji Rao Patil IFS (Telangana 2019), presently District Forest Officer, Adilabad, is transferred and posted as District Forest Officer – Nizamabad, Telangana, in place of Shri Sidharth Vikram Singh IFS.
  7. Ms Chinna Vishwanath Bhusaraddi IFS (Telangana 2023), presently Forest Divisional Officer, Adilabad, is given additional charge of District Forest Officer – Adilabad, Telangana.
  8. Smt Bhukya Lavanya IFS (Telangana 2017), presently District Forest Officer, Hanamkonda and Jangaon, is transferred and posted as District Forest Officer –  Mahabubabad, Telangana, in place Shri Vishal Battula IFS (2020), transferred.
  9. Shri Vishal Battula IFS (Telangana 2020), presently District Forest Officer,  Mahabubabad is transferred and posted as District Forest Officer – Vikarabad, Telangana.
  10. Shri G Mukund Reddy IFS (Telangana 2017), upon promotion to IFS of Telangana Cadre, and presently posted as Deputy Conservator of Forests / District Forest Officer, Vig – I, Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Telangana, Hyderabad, is transferred and posted as District Forest Oposted fficer – Hanamkonda and Jangaon, Telangana, in place of Smt Bhukya Lavanya IFS (2017).

Smt D Samhitha IFS (Telangana 2018), upon promotion to IFS of Telangana Cadre, and presently posted as Deputy Conservator of Forests (Admin), Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Telangana, Hyderabad, is transferred and posted as Deputy Conservator of Forests (FCA) – Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Telangana, Hyderabad.
  13. Shri M Joji IFS (Telangana 2019), on promotion to IFS of Telangana Cadre, and presently posted as Deputy Conservator of Forests / District Forest Officer, Medak, will continue as  District Forest Officer – Medak, Telangana.
  14. Smt G B Rekha Banu IFS (Telangana 2019), on promotion to IFS of Telangana Cadre, and presently posted as Deputy Conservator of Forests / Deputy Director, Telangana Forest Academy, Dulapally, is appointed as Joint Director – Telangana Forest Academy, Dulapally, Telangana.
  15. Shri S Rajasekhar IFS (Telangana 2020), on promotion to IFS of Telangana Cadre, and presently posted as Deputy Conservator of Forests / District Forest Officer, Vig – II, Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Telangana, Hyderabad, is transferred and posted as District Forest Officer – Nalgonda, Telangana.
