He served as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (INCAP), where he was associated with infrastructure planning and urban development initiatives. Prior to that, he worked in multiple leadership roles within the Municipal Corporation, including Municipal Commissioner and Additional Commissioner, contributing to city administration, municipal reforms, and urban infrastructure management.
His administrative experience also includes serving as Commissioner, Visakhapatnam, where he handled urban governance responsibilities during a period of expanding municipal development. Earlier, as District Collector and District Magistrate of West Godavari, he led district administration, revenue management, disaster preparedness, and developmental programmes with a strong focus on effective public service delivery.
Among his early career assignments were postings as Sub Collector, Vijayawada, Project Officer, and Officer on Special Duty to the Minister under the Rajiv Gandhi Mission, where he worked on programmes related to elementary education and human resource development. Shri Jaju also served as Director (Joint Secretary Equivalent) in the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways between 2014 and 2018. In this role, he contributed to infrastructure development projects of national importance, particularly those involving challenging geographical regions and strategic connectivity.
His commitment to continuous professional development is reflected in his participation in the Mid-Career Training Programme (MCTP) Phase IV in 2011 and MCTP Phase V in 2023, designed specifically for senior IAS officers.
