Madhubani Literature Festival to be held in December 2018

Madhubani Literature Festival to be held between 19th December to 21st December, 2018 at Naulakha Palace Complex, Rajnagar is an attempt to highlight the plight of this heritage along with other cultural facets of the region i.e, Maithili Literature, Mithila Art, folk traditions, cuisine culture, lifestyle, and philosophy.

The rich cultural primacy of this region can be understood by the immensity of its philosophical,literary and knowledge traditions as its soft power. Interestingly out of six major Astika traditions of philosophy,four are borne in this region namely Nyay, Mimamsa, Vaisheshika, Samkhya. Also, Mithila has effortlessly nourished multiple forms of conflicting cult worship and traditions such as Vaishnav, Shaiv, and Shakta at one place.
