Shri M.T. Joshi retired Judge, High Court of Bombay has been appointed as Judicial Member in Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal(MAT) at Nagpur and Aurangabad Benches for a period of five years.

Shri M.T. Joshi after completing schooling at New Era High School, Khamgaon, obtained Degree of B.A. through G.S. College, Khamgaon with English Literature and Philosophy as special subjects. Obtained LL.B. Degree from Nagpur University.

Practised as an Advocate at Akola from 6th March, 1980 till 21st December 1992, mainly on civil side. Simultaneously, also practised in the High Court of Bombay, Bench at Nagur. Also worked as a working journalist with three dailies in Akola for a period of ten years from 1976.

Shri M.T. Joshi was appointed as direct District Judge on probation as Additional District Judge at Jalna on 22nd December, 1992. Thereafter, within a period of 14 years, held various posts as (i) Joint District Judge, Dhule, (ii) Judge, Family Court, Mumbai, (iii) Principal Judge, Family Court, Pune, (iv) Registrar, High Court, Bench at Nagpur, (v) Director, Judicial Officers’ Training Institute, Maharashtra, Nagpur, (vi) Principal District and Session Judge, Jalgaon (vii) Judge, City Civil and Sessions Court, Mumbai, (viii) Principal Judge, Family Court, Mumbai, (ix) President, Industrial Courts, Mumbai, (x) Principal Judge, City Civil and Session Court, Mumbai and Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pune.

Took oath of the office of Judge of Bombay High Court on 17th March, 2011.
