Shri Kontham Sudhir IAS (West Bengal 2014), presently District Magistrate, Purulia, is appointed as Collector and Executive Magistrate – Purulia, West Bengal.
The Purulia district, located in the western part of West Bengal, is known for its scenic landscapes, tribal heritage, and cultural richness. Characterized by rolling hills and forests, it serves as a gateway to the Chotanagpur Plateau. Purulia has gained prominence for its industrial development, mineral resources, and folk traditions such as the famous Chhau dance.
