Shri Karnal Singh IPS (AGMUT 1984) presently posted as Special Director in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will be appointed as Additional Director General of National Investigation Agency (NIA). Shri Singh has also served as Delhi Police Special Cell Chief and is known for his excellent work in decrypting many terror cases like 2005 Delhi Blast case, Parliament Attack in 2001 and Batla House encounter in 2008.
Shri Singh , an alumni of Delhi College of Engineering, has also played a critical role in proliferating tech-savvy culture in the police.
