Justice Sandeep Moudgil appointed as Judge- Punjab and Haryana High Court

Shri Justice Sandeep Moudgil presently Additional Judge- Punjab and Haryana High Court has been appointed as Judge- Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Justice Sandeep Moudgil was born on March 17, 1971 at Ambala (Haryana). He did his matriculation from Punjab School Education Board and Senior Secondary from Central Board of Secondary Education New Delhi in the year 1989 and completed Graduation from Premier Institute, DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh in the year 1992.
Thereafter, he pursued the degree of Law from Punjab University, Chandigarh and passed out with 8th position in the Punjab University in the year 1995. He was enrolled with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh on 29.10.1995 and started practice as an Advocate in the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh. In February 2007, His Lordship was appointed as Deputy Advocate General, Government of Punjab and worked as such till October 2012. His Lordship was again engaged as Additional Advocate General by the Government of Haryana in December 2014 and conducted various cases of judicial importance including Ban on Fire Crackers on Diwali, Save Sukhna Lake and for improvement of hygienic conditions for the inmates within the District / Central Jails of the State of Haryana apart from sphere heading the litigation under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994 instrumental in the success of pilot project namely “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”.
Justice Sandeep Moudgil was a distinguish sportsman in the game of cricket who represented not only the State of Haryana in various National Cricket Tournaments conducted by Board of Control for Cricket in India but also represented India (seniors) team in the NKP Salvey Trophy. Apart from this, he captained the DAV College, Chandigarh Cricket Team and won College Color for consecutive three years which performance was consistently earned while during pursuing LLB course by creating a record of having University Color for three consecutive years as a sportsman.
Justice Sandeep Moudgil on the professional front, had effectively conducted cases being on the panels of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Haryana State Pollution Control Board, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited, Haryana State Roads and Bridges Development Corporation Ltd., Haryana State Cooperative Apex Bank, Haryana State Cooperative Sugar Mill Federation Ltd., Haryana State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited, various Municipal Corporations of the Urban Local bodies Departments of the State of Haryana along with Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Panchkula.

Justice Sandeep Moudgil was elevated to the Bench as additional Judge of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh on 29.10.2021.
