Shri Justice Periyasamy Vadamalai presently Additional Judge of the Madras High Court has been appointed as Judge of Madras High Court .
Justice Periyasamy Vadamalai is born on 03.04.1966 at Udumalpet, Tiruppur District to Mr. M. Periyasamy and Mrs. Soundaram.
He had completed his Elementary School at Government Municipal School, Kanakkampalayam, Udumalpet, Tiruppur District and studied at Government Higher Secondary School at Udumalpet. He obtained his B.Com., Degree in Government Arts College, Udumalpet in the year 1986 and served as Medical Representative for one year. After which, he joined the Government Law College, Coimbatore in the year 1987 and completed his Law decree in the year 1990 and enrolled as an Advocate on 14.11.1990.
After enrolment, Justice Periyasamy Vadamalai practised at Sub Court, District Munsif Court and Judicial Magistrate Court, Udumalpet, Tiruppur District. In the year 1995, he joined in Judicial Service as Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Salem and promoted as Sub Judge, Ambasamudram in 2007. He also served as Chief Judicial Magistrate, Madurai and as Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Chennai. He was promoted as District Judge in 2013 and appointed as a Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (E.O.II), Egmore, Chennai. Then he served as Registrar (District Judiciary) Principal Seat of Madras High Court, Chennai and then District Judge cum Chief Judicial Magistrate, The Nilgiris @ Udhagamandalam and then as Principal District Judge, Madurai.
Elevated as Additional Judge, High Court of Madras on 27.03.2023.
