Shri Justice Biren Aniruddh Vaishnav presently Judge of the Gujarat High Court , to perform the duties of office of the Chief Justice of that High Court during the period of absence of Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court, who is proceeding on leave from 18.02.2025 up to 02.03.2025.
Justice B A Vaishnav is born on 22nd May 1963, at New-Delhi. He did B.A.(Economics) from St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad, and L.L.B from Sir L.A Shah, Law College. Enrolled as an Advocate with bar Council of Gujarat on 07.09.1987. Started practice with Advocate Shri P V Hathi and appeared in several civil and criminal matters.
From 1991 to 1995, appeared on behalf of the State Government in matters related to Government Employees. From 1995 Started independent practice as an Advocate. He was on the panel of the Gujarat Land Development Corporation, Gujarat Public Service Commission, Gujarat Pollution Control Board etc. Was Standing Counsel of the Election Commission of India from 1999 to 2016.
Justice Biren A Vaishnav was elevated as Additional Judge of Gujarat High Court on 06.04.2016 and confirmed as permanent Judge on 15.03.2018.
