Shri Joshit Ranjan Sikidar is the new Director – Finance of Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). He took charge from September 12, 2023. With a diverse background as a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, Cost Accountant, and MBA (Finance), he brings over 30 years of post-qualification experience to his new role.
Prior to his appointment as Director (Finance) at SECI, Mr. Sikidar served as the Group General Manager (Finance) and Company Secretary at RITES Limited. His extensive career includes more than four years at RITES, over 16 years at NSPCL (a joint venture of NTPC & SAIL), and more than nine years at SAIL – Bhilai Steel Plant. His expertise encompasses various areas, including Finance Establishment, Corporate Expenditure, Corporate Taxation Cell, Treasury Functions, Expotech Finance, Compliances, and Corporate Governance.
SECI is a Miniratna Category-I CPSU under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. The organization plays a pivotal role in advancing the renewable energy sector and serves as a nodal agency for implementing several schemes of the MNRE. SECI has also ventured into turnkey solar project development for numerous PSUs and government departments. Additionally, the company holds a Category-1 power trading license and actively engages in trading solar power generated by projects established under its implemented schemes.
