Shri Joshi Ajit Balaji IAS (Haryana 2003) presently posted as Deputy Commissioner, Jind will be appointed Deputy Commissioner Chandigarh Administration UT. Shri Joshi Ajit Balaji is a BE in Electrical Engineering from Mumbai and a recipient of The GFiles Governance Award in 2012 for ‘conceptualizing a software programme to eliminate duplication of names in the voters list and making use of available technology to increase efficiency’.
Born in Veet, Solapur, Ajit Joshi at 24 was the youngest candidate in the state to have passed and topped Maharashtra list of the civil service examinations and stood 29th in the country, Joshi used to stay as a PG in Ghatkopar while preparing for a career in indian bureaucracy .
An engineer from the Sardar Vallabhai Patel College of Engineering, Andheri, Shri Joshi now encourages students to appear for the civil service exams by conducting lectures and giving students study tips.
