PIB News Update:This year’s International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is especially significant since it marks the Golden Jubilee Edition. The 50th International Film Festival of India would be held from November 20 – 28, 2019 in Panaji, Goa. Over 200 best films from 76 countries, 26 feature films and 15 non-feature films in the Indian Panorama section will be screened at the film festival. In this Golden Jubilee Edition 12 prominent films in different languages that have completed 50 years this year, will also be showcased. The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) aims at providing a common platform to the cinemas across the world, in celebrating and honouring the excellence of the art of filmmaking. IFFI is India’s most prestigious festival and is also the first International Film Festival held anywhere in Asia.
