184 Assistant Secretary Appointments of IAS 2024 Batch, State-wise Allocation and Ministry

The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has allocated 184 officer trainees of the 2024 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) to various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India as Assistant Secretaries, following the completion of their district training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. The eight-week Central attachment will be held from May 4 to June 25, 2026, providing young officers structured exposure to policymaking and governance at the Union level.

The allocations span 49 Ministries and Departments, covering core governance, infrastructure, economic, and social sectors. A state-wise distribution with precise ministry tagging is presented below:
