Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for ‘Swachh Bharat’ or ‘Clean India’ campaign, two years ago, in 2014, is slowly but surely seeping into residents’ conscience, as can be seen with this video below of an amateur play staged by employees of The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO), a government-owned corporation, on the occasion of the company’s 46th Foundation Day, in New Delhi. The ‘nukkad’ or street-style play, broken into small scenes, is taken from real-life incidents, and infused with some humor to drive home the point that a clean India is critical to India’s dreams and aspirations of becoming a developed nation. The play was written, directed and narrated by HUDCO employee Sunam Sunil. Kudos to HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Medithi Ravi Kanth and HUDCO employees for spreading awareness to one of Modi’s signature campaigns.
