Government of India promulgated implementation of Official Language Act on 14th September, 1949. To mark this occasion, Hindi Pakwada, is being celebrated every year in all Central Government Offices and in Govt. of India undertakings. Hindi Day was observed on 14.09.2018 at NLCIL. In this occasion, Shri Rakesh Kumar,CMD (Addl.Charge) & Director Finance, NLCIL  the chief guest inaugurated the Hindi Fortnight celebrations at  Learning and Development centre, Block-20, on 14/09/2018. In his chief guest address Shri Rakesh Kumar emphasized that hindi is  not only  a language  it is  soul of Nation and it  is one of the major aspect  in integrating  whole nation as one. He exhorted to the officers and employees to convert the 15 days long celebrations into festivities by actively participating in the programme .

Like every year, NLCIL celebrated this event in a grand manner Shri V.Thangapandian,Director(Power), Shri R.Vikraman, Director (HR) and Shri T .Venkatasubramanian,CVO of NLCIL graced the ocassion. Senior officials , employees, a large number of enthusiastic participants took part in the inaugural function.

The  Hindi Fortnight messages  of  Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Home Affairs  and Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways  and Coal were read by Smt. R.Sharmila,  Hindi Translator, NLCIL and Smt. Rajani Lankapalli, Hindi Officer, NLC India Ltd respectively.

To Mark the Occasion Prizes were distributed to the employees who secured top three places in the various Hindi Correspondence Courses. Earlier,the gathering was welcomed by by Shri N.Sarvana Kumar,Senior Hindi Officer, NLC India  Ltd. and the Vote of Thanks was rendered by G Renuka,Junior officer Hindi, NLC India Ltd.
