Indian Bureaucracy News, Shimla, June 26, 2026 |The Himachal Pradesh government has reshuffled its police leadership through an order issued on June 22, with changes at the Inspector General level, including fresh assignments in Law & Order, Shimla, and Communication & Technical Services. The exercise, covering ten officers, also entails the rotation of Superintendents of Police across key districts – Bilaspur, Dehra, Nurpur and Kangra, along with postings at the Police Headquarters in Shimla. In addition, 2022-batch officer Gauravjeet Singh has been promoted to the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police and posted in the state capital.

  1. Shri Abhishek Dular IPS (Himachal Pradesh 2006), presently Inspector General of Police (IG), Communication & Technical Services, Haimpur, District Haimpur, Himachal Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as IG – Law & Order, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, with additional charge of IG – Armed Police & Training, Daroh, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.

  2. Dr D K Chaudhary IPS (Himachal Pradesh 2008), presently Inspector General of Police (IG), Armed Police & Training, Daroh, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as IG – Communication & Technical Services, Haimpur, District Haimpur, Himachal Pradesh.

  3. Shri Sandeep Kumar Dhaval IPS (Himachal Pradesh 2016), presently Superintendent of Police (SP), Bilaspur, District Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as SP – Police District Dehra, Himachal Pradesh.

  4. Shri Ashok Ratan IPS (Himachal Pradesh 2017), presently Superintendent of Police (SP), District Kangra at Dharamshala, with additional charge of Special Task Force, Dharamshala Zone, Himachal Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as SP – Police Headquarter, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

  5. Ms Ilma Afroz IPS (Himachal Pradesh 2018), presently awaiting posting is appointed as SP – Police District Nurpur, Himachal Pradesh.

  6. Shri Mayank Chaudhary IPS (Himachal Pradesh 2019), presently Superintendent of Police (SP), Police District Dehra, Himachal Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as SP – Police Headquarter, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

  7. Shri Abhishek IPS (Himachal Pradesh 2021), presently Additional Superintendent of Police (SP), Shimla, District Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as SP – Bilaspur, District Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.

  8. Shri Gauravjeet Singh IPS (Himachal Pradesh 2022), presently Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Nadaun, District Hapur, Himachal Pradesh, is promoted as Additional Superintendent of Police and appointed as Additional SP – Shimla, District Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

  9. Shri Raman Sharma HPPS (Himachal Pradesh 2007), presently awaiting orders of posting, is transferred and appointed as SP – State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (Northern Range), Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.

  10. Shri Kulbhushan Verma HPPS (Himachal Pradesh 2008), presently Superintendent of Police (SP), Police District Nurpur, is transferred and appointed as SP – District Kangra, Dharamshala, with additional charge of SP – Special Task Force, Dharamshala Zone, Himachal Pradesh.
