Governor of Sverdlovsk ,Russia Federation invites Indian Cos mutually beneficial business

Mr. Evgeny Kuyvashev, Governor, Sverdlovsk Region, Russia Federation,  invited Indian companies to the region and see for themselves the enormous opportunities for doing mutually beneficial business with their Russian counterparts. Addressing a meeting organized by FICCI, Governor Kuyvashev, said that India and the Sverdlovsk Region are bound by strong economic and business ties and the cooperation between businesses of the two countries was gathering a new momentum.

He said of the 143 countries with which the region has business relations, India was ranked 12th and expressed the hope that today’s interaction of his delegation members with Indian companies would enhance the horizon and limits of cooperation. Mr. Kuyvashev is leading a business delegation to India comprising representatives of Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Government of the Sverdlovsk Region, regional companies which deal in industrial production, mechanical engineering, mining equipment, heavy machinery engineering, medical equipment and other sectors. Mr Yaroslav Tarasyuk, Trade Commissioner, Trade Representation of the Russia Federation in India, in remarks pointed out that companies from the Sverdlovsk Region contribute significantly to the development of Indian Railways, machine building and mine development, to name a few.

He hoped that the Indian companies and officials would use the visit of the business delegation to identify new areas of cooperation. Mr. Alexey Orlov, Deputy Chairman of the Government Sverdlovsk Region, made a detailed presentation on the advantages of doing business with companies in the region and said there was tremendous scope for cooperation in the fields of science and education. Mr Andrei Besedin, President, Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry, invited Indian companies to explore the huge market that Sverdlovsk Region has to offer and cash in on the opportunities by joining hands with businesses in the region. Mr. Vivek Abraham, Assistant Vice President, Invest India, explained the significant role being played by the joint venture between the Government of India and FICCI in attracting the inflow of foreign investment into India and the facilities that are offered to foreign companies desirous of investing in this country.
