Ms. G. Latha Krishna Rao IAS (Karnataka 1982) presently Secretary, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has been given additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs .

She holds bachelor’s degrees in English literature, sociology and Sanskrit, a master’s degree in English literature and a diploma in child psychology.
