FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) felicitated Ms. Arunima Sinha, the first female amputee to climb Mount Everest, besides offering lifetime membership to badminton star and Rio Olympics silver medallist Ms. P V Sindhu.
“Arunima Sinha is world s first female amputee climb to Mt. Everest, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Elbrus and many others,” said FLO President Bimbhet.
Said Arunima, who is setting up a sports academy and prosthetic limb centre in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, “A positive attitude, willpower and determination can make a huge difference in one’s life. My aim is to serve handicapped persons and set up an academy for them. The royalties would be dedicated to them and even after me, they would benefit from it.”
Added FLO president Vinita Bimbhet, “Arunima Sinha is a woman of substance, who has truly scripted her own destiny and reached the zenith of success and has proved time and again that there is no limit to human achievements.
“In honour of her phenomenal accomplishment, FLO is privileged to felicitate her. A fearless women, an icon of inspiration — she is a winner in the journey of life.
