The Election Commission has prepared the schedule for conducting General Elections to the Legislative Assemblies of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, and Telangana.

Election in the state will take place in two phases with 20 Assembly constituencies going to poll in 1st phase and 70 in the 2nd phase.
The schedule takes into account various factors such as climatic conditions, academic calendars, board examinations, festivals, law and order situations, availability of Central Armed Police Forces, logistics, transportation, and ground realities.
After careful consideration, the Election Commission recommends to the Honorable Governors of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, and Telangana to issue notifications for the General Elections under the relevant provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
