Delhi Transfers 43, 17 IAS, 26 DANICS, Sachin Rana IAS Now Delhi Fire Chief

Indian Bureaucracy News, Delhi, June 26, 2026 | In a major administrative overhaul, the Delhi government has transferred 17 IAS and 26 DANICS officers, with a focus on revamping the health department amid a Rs 350-crore medical equipment procurement scandal and deadly fire incidents that have raised serious questions about the city’s emergency response systems. The June 24 order, issued by the Services Department, reshuffles senior bureaucrats across key portfolios – health, land and building, transport, trade and taxes, and district administration – while also appointing new secretaries to several ministers and reassigning nearly all SDMs in the revenue department . The reshuffle comes days after the Anti-Corruption Branch arrested a doctor in connection with the procurement fraud and follows the Malviya Nagar fire that claimed 23 lives, prompting the removal of the Delhi Fire Services chief . At the senior-most level, the order effects a three-way portfolio exchange: Bipul Pathak IAS receives additional charge of Women & Child Development, Navin Kumar Choudhary IAS takes on General Administration, and Pandurang K Pole IAS moves to Land & Building while retaining Labour and Cooperation. Meanwhile, Sachin Rana IAS has been appointed Principal Director of Delhi Fire Services, replacing A Nedunchezhiyan IAS, and Sanjeev Kumar IAS has been moved from Health to Trade & Taxes as Special Commissioner, with Mekala Chaitanya Prasad IAS stepping in as Special Secretary, Health.

1. Shri Bipul Pathak IAS (AGMUT 1992), presently Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Social Welfare, with additional charge of ACS, SC/ST/OBC, is given additional charge of ACS – Department of Women and Child Development (WCD), Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

2. Shri Navin Kumar Choudhary IAS (AGMUT 1994), presently Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC), with additional charge of ACS, General Administration Department (GAD), will take charge as ACS of GAD on relieving of Shri Pandurang K Pole IAS from the post of Secretary (GAD).

3. Shri Pandurang K Pole IAS (AGMUT 2004), presently Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), with additional charge of Secretary-cum-Commissioner, Labour, and Secretary, Cooperation, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Land & Building (L&B), with additional charges of Secretary-cum-Commissioner – Labour, and Secretary – Cooperation, relieving Shri Yashpal Garg IAS from the additional charge of Secretary (L&B), Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

4. Shri Jitender Yadav IAS (AGMUT 2010), presently Managing Director (MD), Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), with additional charge of Special Commissioner, Transport, and Secretary, Information Technology (IT), is relieved of the additional charge of Special Commissioner – Transport. He will continue as MD – DTC, with additional charge of Secretary – IT, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

5. Shri Sandeep Kumar Singh IAS (AGMUT 2011), presently Special Secretary, Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), with additional charge of Special Secretary, Finance, is given additional charge of Managing Director – Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation (SRDC), while continuing as Special Secretary, CMO, and Special Secretary, Finance, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

6. Shri D Varma IAS (AGMUT 2011), presently Member, Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), Special Secretary, Planning, and Executive Director, Delhi Financial Corporation (DFC), is relieved of additional charges of Special Secretary – Planning, and ED – DFC, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

7. Shri Pankaj Kumar IAS (AGMUT 2012), presently Controller, Weights & Measures (V&M), with additional charge of Deputy Commissioner (HQ) and Special Secretary, NCR, is relieved of the additional charge of Deputy Commissioner (HQ), while continuing as Controller, V&M, with additional charge of Special Secretary – NCR, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

8. Shri G Sudhakar IAS (AGMUT 2012), presently Director, Women & Child Development (WCD), with additional charge of Managing Director, State Urban Livelihoods Mission (SULM), is given additional charge of Member Secretary – Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

9. Shri Sachin Rana IAS (AGMUT 2014), presently Special Secretary, Home, with additional charge of Special Secretary, Urban Development (UD), is given additional charge of Principal Director – Delhi Fire Service (DFS), relieving Shri A Nedunchezhiyan IAS ((AGMUT 2012) from the charge of Principal Director (DFS).

Shri Suneel Anchipaka IAS (AGMUT 2014), presently Managing Director & CEO, Delhi Tourism & Transportation Development Corporation (DT&TDC), with additional charge of Special Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD), is given additional charge of Special Secretary – Tourism, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
