Shri Debi Prasad Dash IRS (Odisha 1985) has been appointed as Director General of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI).DRI is the premier national agency in the field of anti-smuggling and black money in India. Dash was acting head of DRI for past five months.
Shri Dash has earlier worked in UN Security Council, New York, Commonwealth Secretariat, London and CBI. A recipient of the President’s Award for specially distinguished record of service and Merit Award from the World Customs Organisation (WCO), he was appointed by UN Secretary General as Head of International Panel of Experts of the UN Security Council, monitoring arms embargo, travel ban and financial sanctions in Africa.
