Darjeeling district of West Bengal continues to remain tense. An uneasy calm prevails in the hill district affected by an indefinite strike Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, GJM, demanding a separate State. Reports traffic remains disrupted and people are facing a tough time.
Yesterday’s all-party meeting called by GJM and the meeting between Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and a delegation of GJM failed to come to any conclusion.
