In a significant development aimed at empowering the youth and fulfilling the commitment to citizen welfare, Coal India Limited and NLC India Limited, operating under the Ministry of Coal, have achieved remarkable success in their mission-driven recruitment efforts initiated in July 2022.
As of August 21, 2023, Coal India Limited has conducted seven phases of recruitment drives, surpassing expectations by issuing 7,268 appointment letters, an impressive 83.11% growth over the target of 3,969. In August 2023 alone, 574 appointment letters were issued, exceeding the set target of 465.
NLC India Limited has also demonstrated exceptional dedication by issuing 528 appointment letters, a notable 10% increase over the target of 480 as of September 19, 2023. In July 2023, NLCIL exceeded its target of 75 by issuing 149 appointment letters.
This achievement underscores the government’s commitment to empowering youth and reflects the unwavering dedication of Coal PSUs to nation-building. These recruitment drives play a pivotal role in employment generation and offer promising opportunities for youth to shape their prosperous futures.
