It has fully implemented e office application on 17-10-2016 and the entire file work in the Ministry is now being done electronically. The digitization process is expected to be completed by the end of this fiscal year. This was stated by Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.

Shri Goyal further said “digitization process has brought transparency and efficiency in the working of the Ministry as it would facilitate quick processing and instant movement of files thus enabling seamless and fast decision making.
