Shri Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, NLC inaugurated a two day, National Seminar on “Best HR Practices” on this morning, at the Learning & Development Center,Neyveli.

The Neyveli chapter of the National Institute of Personnel Management in association with NLC has organizing a two day seminar at the Neyveli Learning & Development Centre to understand the evolving nature of diverse workforce complexities, complying legal obligations and strategic management towards achieving the organization goal. study the ways and means of managing the performance of the Human Resource of the company to get the optimum performance by implementing Best HR practices.

Shri S.K Acharya in his inaugural address stressed that, Industries should accept and enforce Change initiatives for its survival and Human Resource professionals need to have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to not only adapt to change but to also identify when it’s needed and how to successfully leverage such opportunities. unwillingness or inability to change over time lead to the company’s downfall. He quoted various examples of the companies which are not in the market, due to not accepting /enforcing the changes.

Eminent Human Resources professionals from Public Sectors of India including Shri S.C Padhy, Director(HR), NALCO Bhubaneswar, Shri V.M Chamola, Director (HR), HAL, Shri P.C Panigrahi, Director (HR),Retd., MCL , Bhubaneswar participated in the inaugural function and chaired various sessions of Day I.

In this two days National Seminar delegates from various Organizations & Institutes presenting their research papers in different sessions, on various themes like Compensation & Reward Management, Performance Management, Talent Management and Industrial Relations & Contract Labor Management Around 150 Executives of HR Department from various PSUs including NLC and Private sector and about 50 students studying post-graduation in HR and Business Administration from various Universities and Colleges are participating in this two day seminar.
