University Grants Commission has decided that the Central Board of the Secondary Education, CBSE will conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) exam in July this year.
An official notification in this regard is likely to be isuued soon. NET exam is held twice a year–July and December for the grant of Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professorship in universities and colleges. As no notification was issued for holding of the NET exam, as it is usually issued in 1st week of April, scores of students had protested outside the UGC last week demanding for the same.
