The Special Campaign 2.0 for “Swachhta” (Cleanliness) was organised from 2nd October 2022 to 31st October 2022 in Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) and all its Zonal and Regional Units spread across the country.
As part of this Special Campaign 2.0 for Swachhta in Government offices, Sh. Vivek Johri, Chairman, Central Board for Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), launched the ई-अपशिष्ट निपटान (E-Waste Disposal Campaign) at DGGI, here today.
Under the e-waste disposal drive, e-waste which included printers, computers, scanners and their parts were identified and collected to be disposed of as per the prevailing guidelines.
As part of the initiative, Chairman CBIC handed over e-waste to the designated agency for disposal in compliance with the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016.
Cleanliness drives with special focus on space management and enhancing work place experience of field Offices were conducted in DGGI formations during the Special Campaign which focused on improvement of record management, categorisation, recording, review and weeding out of physical records, overall cleanliness of Government offices by removing redundant scrap material and obsolete items thereby enhancing work place experience.
