Dr.C.B.S Venkataramana IAS, (Telangana 1982) presently posted as Additional Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy, his central deputation tenure has been extended upto 30th September 2015 on which he is superannuating.

Dr. Venkataramana is PG in Commerce (Sri Venkateswara University 1977), Economics (University of Madras 1997) and Health Science (The Johns Hopkins University, School of Hygiene and Public Health, USA 2001), also holding a Doctor of Public Health degree from the University of Illinois, School of Public Health at Chicago, USA (2007).

His Indian bureaucracy career as IAS started in 1982. He has more than 30 years’ experience in Public Administration and has held numerous assignments including ; Collector & District Magistrate, East Godavari & Karim Nagar District, Vice Chairman, Urban Development Authority, Visakhapatnam, Director, Handlooms & Textiles, Commissioner, Family Welfare & Principal Secretary, Principal Secretary, School Education, Joint DG of Shipping, Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat and is a Board Member of NPCIL.
