Indian Bureaucracy News, Jalaun (UP), June 30 ,2026 | IAS officer Rinku Singh Rahee (Uttar Pradesh 2022), regarded in administrative circles for his anti-corruption record, has been transferred from his post as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Jalaun, with immediate effect.
According to orders issued by District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey, Rahee has been posted as Judicial SDM, Orai. Rakesh Kumar Soni, who was serving as Judicial SDM, Orai, will take additional charge as SDM of Jalaun.
The transfer comes days after a reported altercation on June 23 between Rahee and a local public representative during an inspection of a cold storage facility. While the official order does not cite any reason, the development follows the episode that drew attention at the district level.
In a related development, a group of revenue department employees had submitted a representation alleging rude behavior by Rahee and sought collective leave. There has been no official response from Rahee regarding these allegations.
Rahee has had a notable and eventful career trajectory. Before joining the IAS in 2022, he served in the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Services and earlier as a District Social Welfare Officer. In 2009, he was associated with exposing a large-scale scholarship and pension irregularity, following which he survived a serious attack in which he was shot in the face, leaving him with lasting injuries.
In recent years, he has also been in the public eye over administrative controversies, including an incident during his tenure in Shahjahanpur. Earlier this year, he had briefly resigned citing concerns over the nature of assignments, before returning to service and being posted in Jalaun.
The latest transfer marks another administrative move involving the officer, whose career has seen both recognition for field-level actions and periodic controversies.
Indian Bureaucracy News wishes Shri Rinku Singh Rahee the very best.
