The Government will raise bonds of 2,360 crore rupees for renewable energy. A decision in this regard was taken by the Union Cabinet last evening.
The bonds will be raised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and funds will be used in various renewable energy programmes. The decision will boost infrastructure in the sector and facilitate achievement of ambitious targets for the renewable energy sector.
