Professor Bidyut Chakrabarty has taken charge as Vice Chancellor, Visva Bharati University. Shri Chakrabarty was appointed as VC by President Ram Nath Kovind on October 8, 2018. Shri Chakrabarty is from the department of political science in Delhi University, where he has been teaching since 1998. He has a PhD from the London
School of Economics and specialises in public administration.
