Shri B John Tlangtinkhuma IAS (Manipur 2008 batch) is a distinguished officer with a strong academic background and a proven record of administrative excellence. He holds a B.A. (Honours) in History from Calcutta University, Scottish Church College, and an M.A. in History from Manipur University, where he graduated with first division honors.
Shri Tlangtinkhuma has served in a wide array of positions in the Government of Manipur, showcasing his versatility and administrative acumen. He is currently Commissioner, Skill Development & Employment, Imphal, where he is responsible for workforce development, employment initiatives, and skill enhancement programs across the state.
Earlier, he held key roles in financial management, including Special Secretary and Secretary in the Finance Department, Manipur, managing budgetary planning, fiscal administration, and financial policy implementation. His tenure in the Education Department (Higher Education) as Director & Joint Secretary contributed to strengthening higher education policies and human resource development.
Shri Tlangtinkhuma’s district administration experience includes postings as Deputy Commissioner / District Magistrate in Tamenglong and Additional Deputy Commissioner in Ukhrul, where he oversaw land revenue management, sub-divisional administration, and development programs. He also served in the Commerce & Industries Department, facilitating industrial development and trade promotion.
