Shri Avinash K Srivastava IAS (UP 1982) presently posted as Special Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries vice Shri Ranglal Jamuda IAS (Orissa 1981) on his superannuation.
Shri Avinash K Srivastava is a Gold Medalist in Graduation and PG in Financial Management.
He started his Indian bureaucracy career in 1984 as the Executive Magistrate of Faizabad. . In his service of varied experience, he has served as Under Secretary of UP Secretariat, Lucknow (1986-88), Collector & D M of Sidharth Nagar (1991-92), Director of Petroleum & Natural Gas (2000-03), Principal Secretary Higher Education Department of UP (2007-08) and Commissioner of Agra.
He has served in Central Cadre as Additional Secretary Ministry of Agriculture (2013-15), Special Secretary Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare,Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare.
