Ashok Lavasa appointed- Election Commissioner

Shri Ashok Lavasa IAS (Haryana 1980) presently Finance Secretary, Government of India has been appointed as Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India.  He will take over charge on 23rd January 2018. Shri Lavasa was with the Ministries of environment and forest, civil aviation, power, home, finance at the Centre and industries, tourism and public relations in Haryana, his cadre.
