Shri Arvind Mayaram Retd. IAS (Rajasthan 1978) has been appointed Financial Advisor (FA) to Rajasthan Chief Minister (Shri Ashok Gehlot) with immediate effect. In the Government of Rajasthan Shri Mayaram has worked as Commissioner, Investment & NRIs, Secretary Planning, Secretary Industries & Commerce, Secretary Tourism and Principle Secretary Training. He has also had experience of senior management positions in public sector enterprises. He also conceptualized and established National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the aegis of the Union Finance Ministry.

Shri Arvind Mayaram has a PhD in Finance and is the former Finance Secretary of India. He has earlier held the position Special Secretary in Ministry of Rural Development. He has also been the Alternate Governor for India on the Boards of World Bank, Asian Development Bank and African Development Bank. He was India’s finance deputy in G20 and BRICS. He was India’s chief negotiator for BRICS New Development Bank and co-chair of the Framework Working Group of G-20. He was also on the Boards of Reserve Bank of India, Securities Exchanges Board of India and Life Insurance Corporation of India. He was also Chairman of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board, PPPAC and Skill Development Trust Fund.
