Arindam Chaudhary IAS appointed Deputy Secretary – Mnistry of Steel
Shri Arindam Chaudhary IAS (Himachal Pradesh 2014) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Mnistry of Steel, Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years.
Shri Arindam Chaudhary, IAS, is a dedicated civil servant whose career reflects a steady blend of technical acumen and administrative sensitivity. A graduate of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, where he pursued Computer Science with distinction, he brings analytical clarity and problem-solving depth to governance.
Since joining the Indian Administrative Service, Shri Chaudhary has built significant experience in land revenue management and district administration, particularly in Himachal Pradesh. As Deputy Commissioner and Deputy Secretary in Mandi since June 2021, he has been at the forefront of district governance, overseeing land administration, public service delivery, and developmental initiatives. His tenure is marked by a balanced approach—combining procedural efficiency with responsiveness to local needs.
Earlier, as Assistant Commissioner (UT) in Mandi, he handled sub-divisional administration, gaining grassroots exposure and strengthening his understanding of field-level challenges. His foundational training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, further shaped his administrative perspective and leadership style.
