Navratna Nalco has instituted ‘NALCO Smiles Award’ for the NGOs and Institutions, working for the rehabilitation and resettlement of differently-abled children/persons. The award carries a cash prize of Rs.1 lakh. Similarly, to recognize, appreciate and encourage individuals for their significant contributions to Odissi Dance, the company has instituted ‘NALCO Kharavela Awards’ to felicitate an Odissi Guru and an Odissi Dancer every year.
The award for Odissi Guru carries a cash prize of Rs.1 lakh, while for Odissi Dancer, the winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- . The company shall hand over the awards to the winners in the upcoming NALCO’s Foundation Day function on 7th January 2017, at Bhubaneswar.
The aluminium major is presently seeking nominations for these awards, for which the last date of submission is 26th December, 2016. The other details regarding these awards are available in the company’s website www.nalcoindia.com.
