Apparao Veerelli IRSS given premature repatriation to parent cadre
Shri Apparao Veerelli IRSS (1993) presently CEO- Development & Welfare Board for Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNCs) under the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment has been given premature repatriation to his parent cadre.
The Development and Welfare Board for Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC) is a dedicated body under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. It was established to address the historical marginalization and socio-economic challenges faced by Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DNTs, NTs, and SNTs), which were once stigmatized under colonial laws such as the Criminal Tribes Act.
The Board works towards the identification, documentation, and inclusion of these communities in mainstream development programs. Its primary objective is to ensure equitable access to education, healthcare, housing, livelihood opportunities, and social security schemes. It also plays a crucial role in recommending policy measures and coordinating with state governments for effective implementation.
DWBDNC focuses on skill development, financial inclusion, and awareness generation to uplift these communities socially and economically. Special emphasis is laid on scholarship schemes, hostels, and livelihood support initiatives to improve their quality of life.
By promoting targeted interventions and inclusive policies, the Board seeks to eliminate stigma and ensure dignity, empowerment, and sustainable development for Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Communities across India.
Indian Bureaucracy News wishes Shri Apparao Veerelli the very best.
