Anurag Yadav IAS transferred as Principal Secretary- Social Welfare and Sainik Kalyan, Uttar Pradesh
Shri Anurag Yadav IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2000), presently Principal Secretary, IT and Electronics Department, is transferred and appointed as Principal Secretary Social Welfare and Sainik Kalyan Department, Uttar Pradesh.
Shri Anurag Yadav, an experienced officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), possesses a solid academic background in Political Science, having completed his graduation with First-class distinction and a postgraduate degree in International Politics. His academic grounding in governance and global affairs has contributed to a thoughtful and policy-oriented approach in his administrative career.
Over the years, Shri Yadav has held a variety of significant positions within the Government of Uttar Pradesh, reflecting both depth and continuity in public service. He has served as Secretary to the Government in the Agriculture Education and Research Department, where he was associated with policy matters concerning agricultural advancement and institutional development. His long tenure in the Rural Development Department as Additional Commissioner highlights his sustained engagement with grassroots development initiatives and rural governance frameworks.
At the field level, his experience as District Magistrate of Jaunpur stands out, where he was responsible for district administration, law and order, and implementation of development programmes. His early assignments as CEO in Lucknow, Joint Magistrate in Varanasi and Lucknow, and Assistant Commissioner in the Board of Revenue provided him with a strong foundation in administrative processes and revenue management.
In addition, his role in administrative reforms as Additional Director reflects his involvement in improving governance systems and institutional efficiency. Currently on study leave and holding senior-level responsibilities, Shri Anurag Yadav’s career reflects steady progression, domain experience, and a composed administrative style. His contributions continue to align with the evolving priorities of governance, marking his presence as a committed officer within the Indian Bureaucracy.
