Shri Ajay Chaudhry IPS (AGMUT 1996), presently Special CP, Traffic (Zone-II), Delhi Police, is transferred and appointed as Special CP – Vigilance Division, with additional charge of SPUWAC, Delhi Police.
The Special Commissioner of Police (Vigilance Division), Delhi Police, heads the unit responsible for ensuring integrity, transparency, and accountability within the force. The division investigates complaints and allegations of corruption, misconduct, and abuse of power against police personnel. It also conducts surprise inspections, internal audits, and discreet inquiries to uphold ethical standards and discipline across all ranks. The Vigilance Division plays a preventive as well as corrective role—promoting integrity awareness, implementing anti-corruption measures, and recommending systemic improvements to minimize irregularities. It coordinates with agencies such as the Central Vigilance Commission and the Government of NCT of Delhi on vigilance-related matters. Under the leadership of the Special CP (Vigilance), the division ensures that the Delhi Police remains a professional, fair, and citizen-centric organization. By enforcing accountability and transparency, the Vigilance Division strengthens public trust and reinforces the moral and ethical foundation of the force.
